Lanka Rainwater Harvesting Forum convenor of the South Asia Rainwater Harvesting Network (SARNET) launched the website of the network taking on the theme of this year’s international water day “valuing water” at an event conducted via zoom social media platform on the 24th of March 2021. This event attracted the participation of many rainwater harvesting professionals, enthusiasts, and activists from South Asia. Several government dignitaries joining to address the virtual gathering from different parts of South Asia extended their best wishes to SARNET. The government delegates addressed the meeting were: Hon Dinesh Gunewardena the Foreign Minister, and Hon Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Minister of Water Supply Service, of Sri Lanka, Hon. Ugyen Wangdi a member of the National Assembly of Bhutan, Hon Ganesh Shaha former minister of Water Supply and Sewage of Nepal, His Excellency M Ashraf Haidari the High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Sri Lanka and Mr Reed J. Aeschliman the Mission Director of USAID to Sri Lanka and Maldives.
