Activities conducted | 1. Awareness program to community: Awareness program was held to children and teachers of Thibiriwawe Primary school on benefits of rain water harvesting. 2. Construct a Demonstration 8000 liter rain water harvesting systems: 8,000 liter Ferro cement rain water harvesting system was constructed at the Thibiriwawe primary school with the support of the school teachers and parents. The valence Board need to hang the gutters and unskilled labour during construction as provided by the teachers and parents. 3. Training on Operation and Maintenance: 200 rain water harvesting system have been constructed at households in the villages of Andiyapuliyankulam GN Division, Sriramapura and Annanagar at Kaththaesinnakulam GN Division and also in the villages of Thallikulam GN Division. |
