27th Annual General Meeting of Lanka Rain Water Harvesting Forum (LRWHF)
The Lanka Rain Water Harvesting Forum (LRWHF) successfully conducted its 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 28, 2024, at the Rain Centre in Pelawatte. The event brought together members of the organization to discuss key achievements, review progress, and elect the leadership for the upcoming year.
Opening Remarks
The AGM commenced with a warm welcome by the Chairperson of the Forum, Eng Deva Hapugoda. The Chairperson expressed gratitude to all the members for their unwavering support and commitment to advancing sustainable rainwater harvesting initiatives in Sri Lanka.
Annual Progress Report: Key Achievements for 2023/2024
The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Annual Progress Report 2023/2024 by Dr. Tanuja Ariyananda, Chief Executive Officer of LRWHF. The report outlined the organization’s activities and achievements across various districts, reflecting the growing importance of rainwater harvesting as a sustainable water solution.
Dr. Ariyananda’s presentation was followed by contributions from key district representatives:

Financial Report for 2023/2024
The Financial Report for the year 2023/2024, including the audit report, was presented by Mr. Rajith Kakillarachchi, the Finance Manager of LRWHF, on behalf of Dr. Weeraratna, the Forum’s Treasurer. The report outlined the organization’s financial performance and its prudent use of funds to achieve its goals.
The minutes of the last AGM, the Annual Progress report, and the Financial reports were officially adopted by the members of the forum.
Election of Office Bearers for 2024/2025
With Dr. C.S. Weeraratna retiring from the Board of Directors, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for his valuable contributions to the Forum, especially for his service as the Honorary Treasurer over the past year.
